Skylark Youth Club began eighteen years ago in a borrowed church basement, when a handful of parents and teachers refused to let kids spend their afternoons alone. They scraped together a ball cart, some board games, and a lot of heart — and a club was born.
Today we welcome more than six hundred kids a year into after-school care, sports, STEM, arts, leadership, and summer camp. But we measure success the same way we did on day one: by the kid who walks in unsure and walks out standing a little taller, knowing this is a place where they belong.
Kids thrive when they feel safe, seen, and celebrated. Our job is to keep them safe, surround them with mentors who care, and make sure cost never closes the door — because every child deserves a place to grow, play, and belong.
